Estelle Stepherson is a Johnson County native residing in Cleburne, Texas. I remember always having a sense of creativity. As a child I constantly had my hands busy making dolls and their clothes, painting and drawing pictures or just playing with general crafts. While attending High School in Rio Vista, Texas, I had my first taste of art instruction, with sketching, pastel and acrylic painting....I knew instantly, this was my calling and I was hooked.
But life and motherhood prevails, so after marrying and having two children, the hobby was set aside for a while. Many years later, after my children were older, while strolling thru a local mall, I stumbled into the Oil Painting classroom of Tom Conners and immediately realized how much I had missed the creativity within.
I now paint, not only for fun, but for the business opportunity it creates. It is truly my passion, being able to immerse myself in the process of creating art. I feel that being able to express myself on canvas is so important and I hope that my paintings express to others my joy of what I am able to do. With an affinity for an “old world” style, I especially enjoy painting arches and Italianesque architecture, but I am branching out and painting other subjects as well.
My strong faith in God guides my life in everything I do. As a breast cancer survivor, I've learned to never take a single day for granted. That’s why every day I feel so blessed to be able to touch others by simply doing what I love to do, paint.
